Microsoft has officially announced the new member of the Dynamics 365 family – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, thus finally answering the question that concerned most NAV users – what will be the name of the new cloud-based version of the famous ERP solution.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is officially the name of the cloud version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which until recently was known under the code name Dynamics 365 „Tenerife“.
Fully integrated with other cloud solutions by Microsoft such as Office 365, PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, Power BI, etc., Dynamics 365 Business Central provides companies with a complete solution for management of finances, business operations, sales and customer service. In other words, Business Central brings the full capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Azure.
The new ERP solution is aimed at the SME segment and is a way for companies to easily transfer from their legacy accounting software to a comprehensive ERP solution, which will help them manage every aspect of their business. The SaaS implementation model also means lower initial investments. The new solution will easily replace the multitude of software solution the companies use to manage:
- Accounting and finances
- Supply chain
- Sales and customer services
- Project management
- Forecasting, warehouse management, inventory management, etc.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be offered at two price points:
- Essentials, covering management of accounting and finances, purchases and sales, warehouse and project management – 70 $ per user per month
- Premium, which includes all essential capabilities plus manufacturing and service management – 100 $ per user per month
The new solution will be initially available in USA, Canada, UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden and Finland.
