Frequently Asked Questions
At the beginning of each year, NRA (National Revenue Agency) updates the tariff numbers nomenclature for Intrastat reporting. A mandatory reporting of received/dispatched quantity in a specific unit of measure is set for some of the tariff numbers. This is done in field “Supplementary Item Quantity” in the Intrastat declaration and in field “Customs Unit of Measure” in MS Dynamics NAV. For items with tariff numbers requiring quantity declaration in an additional measurement unit, the field is mandatory, and for the rest the field should be blank. Filling in the field in Intrastat Journal depends on whether the tariff number of the item requires a supplementary item quantity by NRA. The tariff numbers should be checked annually and updated to be consistent with the NRA nomenclature. For more details, see the user guide for Intrastat declarations. The system does not generate these lines automatically. They must be entered manually, after generating the other item lines. The appropriate fields for tariff number, quantity, amount, country of origin, etc. should also be entered manually.
At the beginning of each year, NRA (National Revenue Agency) updates the tariff numbers nomenclature for Intrastat reporting. Some tariff numbers are removed, and new ones are introduced. If the tariff numbers in NAV have not been updated in accordance with the nomenclature, it is possible to have posted supplies/expeditions with out-of-date tariff numbers and to reveal it after generating the lines for the Intrastat declaration and submission of the file. In the presence of such an error, it is necessary to create and/or select the correct tariff number in the item card and to delete and generate again the lines in the Intrastat Journal.
To include a record from past month in the batch of the current statistical period in Intrastat Journal, you have to set as a start date the first day of the past period when using the “Get Entries” function. Records, which were exported for a past period will not be re-generated in the batch of the current period. Only records of the specified period, which are not generated in another batch will be included.
It is possible that the entries were generated in another batch. In that case, they will not be extracted again in the current one. You have to filter the entries in table “Intrastat Jnl Lines” by posting date and find the batch where the needed entries were created, then delete and re-create them in the current period batch.
