Copilot Pages, Agents и Python: What’s new in Microsoft Copilot this fall

Copilot за Microsoft 365

The Autumn Wave of Innovations in Microsoft Business Solutions Launches in September

On September 16, Microsoft announced a series of updates to its artificial intelligence (AI) applications, including Copilot Pages, Copilot Agents, and various enhancements to the Copilot in Microsoft 365 suite.

Copilot Pages (Not to Be Confused with Power Pages)

Copilot Pages is a new addition to the arsenal of AI functionalities. It serves as a collaborative space where humans and AI work together. Entire teams can use it to organize, track, and complete tasks and projects faster and more efficiently. This platform enables real-time collaboration and interaction with AI as a trusted partner—one capable of retrieving and providing the information you need, either from your internal data and files or from the web.

Copilot Pages introduces a completely new model of work, optimizing collaboration between humans and machines. It will be available to users by the end of September this year.

Copilot Agents

Another innovation with great potential to accelerate workflows is Copilot Agents—AI assistants designed to automate business processes. Whether it’s simple, repetitive tasks or complex, multi-component processes, Agents are up to the challenge. Easy to configure and use, they seamlessly integrate into daily work without disrupting its flow or compromising data security. Importantly, all data remains within the boundaries of the company’s Microsoft 365 account.

Pre-built agents are available for immediate use, and for more specific tasks, a developer environment is provided.

Enhancements to Copilot for Microsoft 365

Millions of people worldwide use Microsoft 365 applications in their daily work. As a result, the corporation has invested significant effort into optimizing AI functionalities to make office applications even easier and more convenient to use. Among the announced updates are:

  • Copilot for Excel

Already available to users, Copilot for Excel enhances the way you work with data. It allows for seamless interaction with unstructured information, enables the creation of charts and pivot tables, processes text, and performs numerous other tasks. And if that’s not impressive enough, Copilot for Excel now supports Python, one of the most popular programming languages for data analysis. With this feature, Excel users can perform complex tasks like forecasting, risk analysis, and visualizing complex datasets—all without requiring programming expertise.

  • Copilot for PowerPoint

Drafting presentations is a creative process, but even this task has been simplified with AI. The new Narrative Builder feature helps users generate presentation drafts in minutes. After a few tweaks and added details, your presentation is ready to wow your audience.

  • Copilot for Word

This AI assistant is evolving into an even better writing partner. Soon, Copilot for Word will be able to search for and integrate data not only from the web, other files, and documents but also from emails and meeting notes. This feature aims to further streamline the writing process and save time.

  • Copilot for Teams and Outlook

Microsoft is also introducing updates to other essential tools:

  • Copilot for Teams: Now capable of searching meeting recordings and answering questions in chat to provide the exact information you need.
  • Copilot for Outlook: Prioritizes emails based on sender, content, and even your role within the organization, making it easier to manage your inbox efficiently.

A Future Powered by Copilot

These innovations are just the beginning. Microsoft plans to continue enhancing Copilot’s capabilities in the coming months, ensuring that every user benefits from smarter, faster, and more intuitive tools in their daily work. Stay tuned for more updates!
