Provimi Bulgaria

The mother-company Provimi was founded in 1927 in the Netherlands as a trading company of Dutch farmers. The product, which the company markets is a mix of three elements which form the basis for each animal feed – Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals. This unique mix is where the company gets its name from.

In 2011 the company was acquired by Cargill. Combining the expertise to Cargill in the field of compound feed, management of supply chains and risk management and Provimi’s expertise in the field of nutritional supplements for animals, increased the range of opportunities offered by more than 16,000 employees in 37 countries worldwide to their customers.

Provimi Bulgaria is part of this Dutch-Bulgarian group. In Bulgaria the company manufactures and markets bio concentrates, feed additives, specialty foods and milk replacements, nourishing compound feed with bio concentrates. The company offers feeding systems and provides free advice on all matters related to feeding and housing of animals; develops and optimizes recipes for bio concentrates and complete compound feed for all animal categories; develops recipes for compound feed on request.

Scope of the ERP project

The implementation of MS Dynamics NAV covered the automation of all processes in accounting, purchasing, sales, warehouse and production. The ERP solution was fully integrated with the pre-existing in the company production management system. An additional module for monthly closing and allocation of indirect costs in the cost of production was also implemented.

Actual benefits for the client

The implementation of the ERP software facilitated the exchange of information among the different divisions of the company as well as with the mother-company. It was also assured consistency of the data and consolidation of the business processes in Provimi Bulgaria.

The ERP solution is in accordance with all requirements of the mother-company for good corporate practices as well as with Bulgarian law.
