Scope of the implemented ERP solution:

The first implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV in GfK Bulgaria took place in 2003 for version NAV 3.10. The main expectations towards the ERP system are to provide the company management with complete financial information.

The implementation covered all processes related to purchases, sales, project management and financial management, as well as billing.

Part of this project was also the first in Bulgaria implementation of cost accounting module and a module for allocation of indirect costs at project level. The module gives the opportunity for strict calculation and monitoring of the full cost of services for each project.

In the beginning of 2009 the system was updated to a newer version with migration of the complete history of all operations. The updated system allows full automation of all activities related to the monthly closing and the reporting towards the GfK Group.

As a result of the implementation project, GfK Bulgaria achieved the following actual benefits:

  • Real-time monitoring of the revenues/costs ratio for every project
  • Ability to calculate profit at different levels, including project level
  • Timely billing and invoicing the actual input of resources for each project
  • Significantly reduced time for generating reports towards GfK Group
