Balkanpharma-Razgrad AD

Antibiotic-Razgrad AD is the successor of one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in Bulgaria with over 50 years of experience in the development, production and distribution of generic medicines for human and veterinary use.

The company manufactures products under its brand name, as well as for third parties under contract manufacture agreements. Antibiotic-Razgrad AD currently exports its products to over 25 countries in Europe and Asia.

Antibiotic–Razgrad AD is the majority shareholder of Balkanpharma-Razgrad AD – a pharmaceutical plant with facilities for production of the following finished products: capsules and tablets, liquid sterile and dry injections, semi-solid forms (creams and ointments for topical and ophthalmic application). The site holds the necessary manufacturing authorizations and Good Manufacturing Practice certificates for all production units.

Project challenges

The client’s high requirements towards ensuring the product quality and reliability of information as well as the integration with an existing external system for production ordering were just some of the challenges to the implementation project.

The implemented ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics NAV manages all processes connected with sales, production reporting, supply management, management of receivables and payables, finances and accounting. The project also included implementation of a specific module for allocation of indirect costs of production, developed entirely by Team VISION Bulgaria developed.

Benefits for the client

As a result of the implemented software the client achieved fully automated management of customer orders and the ability to create long-term forecasts and calculate the total cost of production.
