Some of the tasks Copilot Chat can easily handle are:

One highly anticipated feature is Copilot Chat within Dynamics 365 Business Central, designed to save users significant time and effort in their daily workflows. Upcoming capabilities also include:

Agents: The New Business Helpers

Further innovations include Agents, intelligent assistants designed to tackle specific tasks or streamline predefined processes.

Unlike Copilot, which functions as a virtual assistant for enhancing individual productivity, Agents are specialized programs deployed to automate specific tasks or workflows for multiple users. They operate in tandem with users but remain entirely under their control.

In Business Central, Agents can be assigned roles and tasks by users and are designed to execute them in the most efficient way possible—even handling unforeseen challenges. Users can test Agents beforehand to ensure their performance meets expectations.

The first system Agent, Sales Order Agent, will debut in 2025. It will process natural language instructions and focus on optimizing customer order workflows—from generating quotes and clarifying details to setting delivery dates and more.

Microsoft plans to provide libraries of pre-built Agents, while businesses will also have the ability to create custom Agents to address their unique needs.

79 New Reports and Insights in Business Central

ERP systems thrive as reliable sources of business intelligence. To make data more accessible and actionable, Microsoft is adding 79 new interactive BI reports and insights to Business Central. These cover business performance at both high-level and granular details.

Notably, new sustainability reports measure environmental impact, including carbon footprints, aligning with the latest European regulations. These specialized reports are part of Business Central’s new Sustainability Management role center.

Beyond AI: Other Business Central Innovations

Business Central’s latest updates go beyond AI applications. Some long-awaited features include:

• Subscription Management: Manage subscription contracts and terms directly within Business Central.

Copilot Pages (Not to Be Confused with Power Pages)

Copilot Pages is a new addition to the arsenal of AI functionalities. It serves as a collaborative space where humans and AI work together. Entire teams can use it to organize, track, and complete tasks and projects faster and more efficiently. This platform enables real-time collaboration and interaction with AI as a trusted partner—one capable of retrieving and providing the information you need, either from your internal data and files or from the web.

Copilot Pages introduces a completely new model of work, optimizing collaboration between humans and machines. It will be available to users by the end of September this year.

Copilot Agents

Another innovation with great potential to accelerate workflows is Copilot Agents—AI assistants designed to automate business processes. Whether it’s simple, repetitive tasks or complex, multi-component processes, Agents are up to the challenge. Easy to configure and use, they seamlessly integrate into daily work without disrupting its flow or compromising data security. Importantly, all data remains within the boundaries of the company’s Microsoft 365 account.

Pre-built agents are available for immediate use, and for more specific tasks, a developer environment is provided.

Enhancements to Microsoft 365 Copilot

The financing is part of the measures under the program “Competitiveness and innovation in enterprises” 2021-2027 and is intended to help companies improve their internal processes, gain higher competitiveness and strengthen their market presence.

Besides acquiring of durable tangible and intangible assets and tools, within the framework of procedure BG16RFPR001-1.004 “Support for family enterprises, enterprises of creative industries and crafts” companies can also fund the implementation of business management systems, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems and business intelligence (BI) platforms.

CRM systems are an indispensable assistant for businesses with both B2B and B2C orientation. They store and organize the information about all the company’s customers, partners and counterparties, their inquiries, orders, submitted offers, completed deals, concluded contracts and others, as well as all communication with them from the moment of the initial contact. This information provides not only a basis for in-depth analysis, but helps businesses ensure a personalized approach and high level of customer satisfaction.

BI platforms, on the other hand, help turn business information into a strategic asset. They connect to a wide variety of data sources and convert the dispersed business information into interactive visualizations and reports that can be easily understood and analyzed at a glance. BI systems improve decision-making based on data, boost work efficiency, improve flexibility and shorten the time for reaction.

Within the framework of the new European procedure, more than BGN 117 million will be allocated. The funds can be used by enterprises from all across the country, whose subject of activity falls into the sphere of creative industries or crafts, as well as businesses that meet the requirements for a “family company” .

What are the Attach licenses?

All cloud solutions within the Dynamics 365 family are licensed with subscription licenses, which, in the majority of cases, are individual named licenses for each user. However, if a growing company needs to use a second software solution from the same family, Microsoft makes it possible to license the additional solution with an attached license. The attached license provides the same scope of functionalities as a regular license but comes at a price, which is approximately 3 times lower than that of the standard license.

For example, if a company uses a Dynamics 365 ERP solution to manage its business but feels the need to provide its sales team with a robust customer management system, it can easily add a Dynamics 365 CRM software on top of its ERP solution. To make things easier from licensing point of view, every user that needs to have access to both systems may use an Attach license for the CRM solution at the price of just 18.70 EUR per month.

Attach licenses provide full access to all CRM functionality but are significantly less expensive than the regular licenses. This flexible licensing policy makes the Dynamics 365 family of solutions much more affordable to companies of different size and helps them easily face the challenges and needs of their growing business.

Dynamics 365 Business Central as an Attach license

In the middle of May 2023 Microsoft introduced attach licensing also available for the leading ERP solution Dynamics 365 Business Central. All companies that already use Business Central (Premium) can now use attach licenses to add the CRM solutions Dynamics 365 Sales (Enterprise) or Dynamics 365 Customer Service (Enterprise) on top of it.

Microsoft also announced that starting September of this year Business Central Essentials licenses will also be available as an attach to all companies that already use the CRM solutions Dynamics 365 Sales (Enterprise) or Customer Service (Enterprise) to manage the relationship with their customers.

“Entrepreneurs in Class” is an innovative initiative of the INCREDA Association – a non-profit association in public benefit, whose mission is to inspire Bulgarian students and light the spark of entrepreneurship by bringing real entrepreneurial stories to the classroom. The initiative offers all Bulgarian schools an innovative educational format to help them excel their students’ entrepreneurial knowledge and awaken the entrepreneurial spirit. The initiative is implemented with the financial support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation.

For its ever-growing activity, “Entrepreneurs in Class” needed a software solution to fully manage their communication with representatives of both the business community and the schools in the process of negotiating, organizing and conducting physical, online and video meetings of entrepreneurs with Bulgarian students. The rich functionality of the CRM solution Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Microsoft’s affordable Nonprofit offering made the software system the right solution for “Entrepreneurs in class”, and Team VISION Bulgaria – the preferred technology partner for this project.

The project covered the implementation and configuration of the CRM solution Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and its integration with other Microsoft applications such as Power Automate, Dynamics 365 Customer Voice, Power Apps Portals and others to cover all aspects of the initiative’s activities.

A fully connected with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales user portal was implemented, which facilitates the registration of schools and entrepreneurs to participate in the initiative and enters the received data directly in the database of the system. At the same time, the portal serves as a meeting point between schools who wish to hold events as part of the initiative and the entrepreneurs who want to share their experience and professional path with the students.

“The ability to have a unified system in which we can easily trace the communication with each individual entrepreneur and teacher / school, and the individual details related to our events has greatly benefited our work”, says Ms. Mira Krasteva, Director of the initiative. “Using the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales CRM system has helped us automate much of our work and reduce the time it takes to organize events and track the feedback from them. We now have accurate real-time information regarding the stage of our initiatives, who is involved in them and what the impact of our efforts is. It was very important for us to eliminate any possibility of data discrepancies or unintentional errors.”
